Welcome to the public consultation for the proposed residential development on land east of Holbeck, Barrow-in-Furness, known as ‘Holbeck Phase 4’. This website introduces the proposals and provides ways for you to share your views with us.

 

Holker Group is consulting on plans for a new residential development at Holbeck Phase 4. The proposal will deliver up to 320 new high-quality homes including both market and affordable homes, and bungalows for older persons, along with new vehicular access points, landscaping, and areas of public open space.

 

We intend to submit an outline planning application later on in the year. This website provides an opportunity to view and comment on the proposals before the planning application is submitted.

 

The development represents a significant opportunity to deliver much-needed new housing to support Barrow’s economic and employment growth. This site is in a sustainable location, with the southern part already allocated for residential development within the Barrow Borough Local Plan (now Westmorland and Furness Council) with the remainder required to meet massively increased housing needs in the emerging plan.
